Egyptian half-white cotton thread 24/3 to 170/2

Egyptian half-white cotton thread-

This yarn is a long-staple cotton, made from Egyptian cotton, carded and combed.

It is then gassed, which means it is passed through a flame, this treatment removing any down, making it particularly smooth.

It is then mercerized, another treatment which, this time, makes the yarn shiny and resistant.

The number after the size indicates the number of ends or strands of wire.

The height of the spindle is 6.5 cm, and the diameter varies according to the size of the cotton.

Each fuse is protected.

5,25 - 8,00

Traditionally, lace thread numbers are based on the English numbering system (NE), which corresponds to the number of skeins of 840 yards (768.1 meters) contained in an English pound (453.6 grams). It is therefore logical that the lower the number, the thicker the thread, and consequently the higher the number, the finer the thread.
